About Us

Wandukwa Simon Gyabi is a passionate youth leader, educator, and advocate for social justice from Manafwa District in Eastern Uganda. Born in 1996 and raised in a humble family, Wandukwa’s story is one of perseverance, service, and unshakable belief in the power of education to change lives.

A proud product of Uganda’s public education system — from Mulatsi Primary to Makerere University — Wandukwa has walked the same path as the millions of young Ugandans he now seeks to represent. His experiences of studying under broken roofs, struggling with school fees, and witnessing the challenges of rural youth shaped his mission: to give every young person a fair chance to dream, learn, and lead.

At Makerere University, he served as a student leader — UNSA Speaker, College President, and Guild Presidential candidate — earning a reputation for integrity, courage, and inclusive leadership. His political journey under the National Unity Platform (NUP) is driven by a clear purpose: to reawaken Eastern Uganda through education, empowerment, and honest governance.

Wandukwa’s campaign is not just about politics — it’s a movement. It is a call for Eastern youth to rise against poverty, marginalization, and empty promises. It is a protest powered by hope, unity, and the conviction that the future belongs to those who fight for it.

“We are not waiting for change — we are becoming it.”

The Future Is Ours: Why the Youth of Eastern Uganda Can’t Afford to Stay Silent

For too long, young people in Eastern Uganda have been told to wait — to wait for jobs, for opportunity, for a system that sees them. But waiting has changed nothing. The time has come for a new generation to stop waiting and start leading.

This is not about anger or rebellion. It’s about responsibility — the responsibility to build a country that values effort, talent, and fairness. Across the East, youth are waking up to a powerful truth: no one is coming to save them, but together, they can save each other.

This is not about anger or rebellion. It’s about responsibility — the responsibility to build a country that values effort, talent, and fairness.

Education Must Open Doors, Not Close Them

Every child deserves a fair shot at success. That means real investment in schools, fair access to universities, and support for students who can’t afford to finish. The dream is simple — a Uganda where no young person drops out because of poverty, and no girl is left behind because of a lack of sanitary pads or safe classrooms.

Education shouldn’t be a privilege for the few; it should be the bridge that lifts communities out of poverty.

Work That Dignifies, Not Demoralizes

Young people are not lazy — they are locked out. They want jobs that match their skills, and skills that match the demands of today’s world. Imagine vocational centres in every sub-region — teaching mechanics, tailoring, ICT, agriculture, and entrepreneurship — where youth can learn, create, and earn.

That’s not a dream. It’s a plan — and it starts with leadership that listens.

Power Belongs to the People Who Use It

Real change will not come from the top down. It will come from youth organizing, speaking out, and holding leaders accountable. It’s time for more young people to sit where decisions are made — in councils, committees, and Parliament — not as observers, but as equals.

The message is clear: the youth of Eastern Uganda are not asking for space — they’re taking it.

The future is not a gift; it’s a responsibility.
It belongs to those who show up, speak out, and vote for the kind of country they want to live in.

The future is ours — if we’re bold enough to claim it.

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use.
